Complaint to the German Press against THE WORLD succeed!

logo On 3.2.2010 appeared on WORLD-Online, the infamous call to WORLD-author Daniel Pipes "Obama should bomb Iran". A particularly striking and repulsive case of warmongering in a German medium. WORLD-author Pipes recommended the bombing specifically target poor poll ratings of the American president.

At this point I had in the WORLD items and then also my complaint letter to the German Press Council from 4.2.2010.

In this I pointed out that the WORLD call was still covered in a war of aggression, neither by the Basic Law of the Press Code in force.

And:
"As a German, it fills me with great shame that 65 years after the end of World War 2 from German soil, ie from a German newspaper [THE WORLD-line], can be called back to a war of aggression. Resist the beginnings! "

Today I received a letter from the German Press Council now, the complaint of 4.2.2010 was finally answered on 24.6.2010. Here is the text of the letter: (more ...)

Incitement to war of aggression in Germany not punishable (if the attack by another army is required as the German version)

A little over two months I had at this point in relation to a particularly blatant example of warmongering position, which is becoming socially acceptable in parts of the German media landscape.

These were a world-online article the most experienced in this sector Daniel Pipes, "Obama should bomb Iran" , in which he quite openly and advice given for the attack on the Middle Eastern country the US president and thereby to hurry drives.

I had allowed myself to make the German Press this derailment attention - the Council will meet.

At the same time I had at the earliest prosecutor (for online publications of the "Flying jurisdiction" applies) filed a complaint for incitement to a war of aggression against the WORLD and its author. Similar as criminal charges was also independently collected by different readers.

My ad has been forwarded to the prosecutor Berlin, and from there I received on 30.3.2010 post of Attorney Kamuf. (more ...)
