New role for Germany as a military power in the world?
Then there is only one! Say NO!
In his opening speech at the private "class reunion Western Sicherheitsspolitiker", the Munich Security Conference called on 3 February 2012 the German Defence Minister Thomas de grumbled Maizière euphoric about Germany's new responsibility and military role in the world in the context of international security architecture. From the "military power of Germany" was talk of "Smart Defense" and the fact that Germany "cause stronger again" and to "make great contribution" to Europe's armed forces and one, where necessary, "go ahead" to.
As a German, who immediately after the second world war - although actually an innocent "posthumous" - grew up in the oppressively dull feeling of belonging to a nation of terrible criminals, the death, destruction and devastation brought about the world and neither the family nor allowed to speak at the school about these childhood mortgage and find enlightenment and relief, I am appalled and outraged by this blatantly put forward military power fantasies, this war rhetoric and pandering to the NATO-led force.

By Wolfgang Borchert or "war against war" by Ernst Friedrich or "The way back" of Erich Maria Remarque or "the end of a business trip" by Heinrich Böll, and many others who we devoured as a teenager and the sprout could hope in us, that what has happened will never happen again: "No more war! "" Never again rearmament of Germany "Our gnawing guilt was alleviated somewhat by this disturbing post-war literature!.
The Fathers of the German Basic Law have done with their reflections and legal texts according to this world catastrophe out of their way to be lulled post-war children in the hope that wars in the future are obsolete, things of the past and that we Germans by this "promise" with time would be included in the civilized world community. Likewise, the creation of the United Nations has to comply with the aim to secure world peace, international law, to protect and to promote international cooperation, nourished the hope for peace in the world, the general principles of human rights.
A few decades we have young Germans each as a welcome relief and a certain pride that Germany, despite rearmament and emerging great power fantasies of some politicians could not be drawn into the wars of the Anglo-American major powers with, but tried to take a different role due to the bitter experience. The great taboo-breaking came with the reprehensible attack on Yugoslavia 1999 with outright lies and Orwellian newspeak like "Never again Auschwitz" or "Humanitarian Intervention" have green and social democratic warmongers as a command receiver of the Empire a large part of the German population Hoodwinked out and getting them to consider whether they should differ in this one special case of the claim of the German Basic Law that from German soil must never run out war again, perhaps to prevent a "second Hitler" and a "second Auschwitz". For this first taboo of German participation in an illegal war of aggression investments and complicity in further wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, covert military operations were during the last decade the world and a huge upgrade of the warring countries with German war weapons.
The given at the Munich Security Conference, or "war planning conference" to military protocol Machts fantasies and upgrade services of Germany's defense minister were probably intended as a declaration of loyalty to the participating representatives of the Empire and will certainly have been recorded from these with satisfaction.
On behalf of the German people has the mandated representatives of the German people, Thomas de Maizière, at least not spoken. Neither the name of the younger generation (see Problems in recruiting soldiers) and certainly on behalf of the older generation who started the war and reconstruction from the ruins still from personal experience to the guests.
For the German people, there is then only one! Say NO!
