Still half asleep, I stumbled down the stairs and saw the blurred newspaper lying on the stairs, "45,000 Koblenz evacuated ... bombs ... severe impairment ...". The processing of information through my synapses was made slowly and I wondered what had happened.

Wars loose on the timing of things. The message was somehow in the past, the present and the future.

The consequences of the Second World War are being felt now still - every day, change the past affect the present and look to the future. They dissolve linearity.

The 1.8 ton bomb was dropped 66 or 67 years ago in the Rhine, even after decades can theoretically explode yet. In truth, the consequences of war never heard of.
