10 years 2nd Iraq war, 23 years 1. Iraq war - eerie parallels to the 2013

These days "commit" we mark the 10th anniversary of the 2nd Iraq war in 2003. And the first Iraq war? This raises disturbing parallels to the current tense "pre-war situation" on.

In 1990 a dispute erupted between Iraq and Kuwait. Saddam Hussein accused the neighboring country to have drilled into its oil fields, a statement which proved later to be correct in principle. Saddam invaded Kuwait.

President Bush (father) would not tolerate this, the American public was not enthusiastic about a war for the unknown Kuwait.
