When I want to find out about the new long-haul Airbus A400M military transporter, of which Germany has ordered 60 pieces, also on the official page of the "Ministry of Defense", I can find nothing to do, but on the very first page something else:
The reference to a speech of the Federal Defence Minister zu Guttenberg during the ceremony, "Armed Forces and American Jewish Committee: 15-year partnership and trust" in Berlin on 8.12.2009.
Quite clear: I had overlooked something.
The AJC is a private organization founded in the U.S. in 1906. So far I did not know that the Bundeswehr received official partnerships with private organizations.
The AJC does, according to own data , especially in the role "to ensure the welfare and security of Jews in the United States, in Israel and around the world, the most important principles of pluralism as the best defense against anti-Semitism and other forms of bigotry to strengthen worldwide; improve the quality of American Jewish life by helping to ensure Jewish continuity and deepen ties between American and Israeli Jews. "
So far so good. I would have understood if such were to be a partnership with the AJC and German memorials - but with the Defense Department? So I had the speech read Guttenberg, and I strive for greater understanding:
