Guido Westerwelle is thinking about to deliver weapons . To the Syrian opposition. This loud thinking, you should stop immediately. To supply weapons to conflict areas, was previously consensus of all parties.

But we are experiencing in Germany, as in the EU, that so much of what was once written or unwritten law only serves to break it.

The Syrian opposition is not presentable. Is there a case an eloquent language than the fact that on a Texan, a US citizen with Kurdish Syrian roots for the post of "legitimate" representative of the Syrian people, also known as interim prime minister, back tire had, no longer in his thirty years was the former home?

Does anyone seriously believe that this the Syrians completely unknown Mr. Hitto a potential cauldron after (announced two years ago) overthrow Assad's "rule" is? (more ...)

"Europe sees the disaster in Syria without doing anything." That was the headline in the GA Bonn. Really? The EU helpless and passively?

"The fundamental human mind is no longer able to say why this brutality in Syria must go further," said Luxembourg Foreign Minister Jean Asselborn.

Sure, the basic sense is uneven, but politicians should have better information facilities as average citizens, especially more time to provide their basic human mind with elementary facts. (more ...)

Power Politics old?

So if you look at the photos of some of our politicians, you might start to wonder: How Time Lapse is always playing the same from; initially youthful faces expire rapidly that any beautician despair and every cosmetic surgeon would roll up their sleeves.

Is it the stress, the many trips that many seats, too many food and drink to much talking, not enough sleep, the burden of responsibility?

Open Letter to Federal Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle and Development Minister Dirk Niebel

Dear Sirs Minister,

the media was found to this day, they were "a surprise trip" in Libya (ARD, 13.6.2011). They announced there to help millions of euros for the country.

You, Mr Westerwelle are quoted with the words: "Our visit to Benghazi shows that Germany is a friend and partner of the democratic forces in the country. We will support the National Transitional Council to build a democratic and constitutional Libya's best efforts. " He continued: "Gaddafi is on the wrong side of history."

Unfortunately, things are not so clear. Because: Until yesterday, the members of the now officially recognized by Germany rebels Council were still on the "wrong side of history." All members of the Interim Council were government officials or members of the dictator; only exception is the temporary finance minister Ali Tarhouni; he lived so far as Professor of Economics in the USA.

The Chairman of the Transitional National Council Mustafa Mohammed Abud al Dschelail until February 21 this year, yet justice minister under Gaddafi. First I'm going pale and green: Before envy. Could we imagine in our Chancellor or our President us, perhaps? That the Chancellor would called into the desert or wilderness? The well known, there is no longer in Germany, just as an eastern border. All this has long been abolished, and one can hardly imagine any politician who personally pace off the border or would ride off. Or you might imagine Merkel as in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, on the border with Poland on the fresh begüllten fields of a former LPG, now pig breeding facility for 100,000 sows rides? (more ...)
